這種新鮮的口感在英文中就是fresh(新鮮的)
Sushi always requires fresh fish.
制作壽司往往需要新鮮魚肉。
那生魚片,“生的”在英語里的說法是raw:
Sushi is made from raw fish as well as vegetables, seaweed and rice.
壽司由生魚、蔬菜、海草和米飯做成。
與上面的詞語相反的就是off(不新鮮的):
I'm afraid this cheese tastes off.
我覺得這塊奶酪不新鮮。
食物放久了就爛掉了。這時(shí)候就是rotten(腐爛的,壞的):
This meat smells rotten. I think we should throw it away.
這塊肉壞了,我覺得我們應(yīng)該扔掉它。
火候不足,牛排就煮不熟,這就是undercooked(未煮熟的):
The undercooked fish was very poor.
沒煮熟的魚口感欠佳。
形容作物與水果,還未熟的,是unripe:
Many types of fruit are picked unripe and become ripe as they are shipped.
許多水果都是在還未成熟時(shí)被摘下,隨后在運(yùn)送過程中成熟。
與unripe相反的必然就是去掉否定前綴un-后的ripe(熟的):
Make sure the bananas are ripe so I can use them in the cake.
確保香蕉熟了,這樣我就可以用它們做蛋糕。
煎出來的牛排就鮮嫩多汁,就是tender(嫩的):
The lamb was so tender that it seemed to melt in my mouth.
羊肉嫩得像是入口即融。
如果牛排又黑又焦,那就是overcooked(煮得過熟的,老的):
The broccoli was overcooked. It should have been crisper.
西藍(lán)花煮久了。本該更脆一點(diǎn)。
吃焦黑的牛排我們可以用tough(硬的)來形容:
The steak was very tough. I could hardly chew it!
這塊牛排太硬了!我都咬不動(dòng)了!
